Yes, I see too many ppl crying & complaining about them. It's not "cheap". There is no such thing as being "cheap" in a fighting game. Those are legit fighting game tactics. Anybody who complains about them either doesn't know fighting game knowledge or doesn't know or understand how to deal with it.
I don't care much to turtle, though I respect people for using it well. But I love Kasumi and her speed. Those pokes and elbows are coming whether people like them or not.
It's not just Kasumi players. It's more of the VF players who are complaining which this isn't just directed at them. It's directed at anybody who just bitch about fighting game tactics. They need to take the time & understand the game. That's in every fighting game. And honestly, VF characters aren't bad, but they all share the same problem. They have trouble in space.
So with them trying to just run in on somebody who is good with footsies, spacing, turtling, & has a good keep-out game isn't going to work. You have to keep them in the right distance in order to play them well.
They just gotta practice how to hadle it. Characters like Jann Lee or Ayane can piss me off sometimes with their spacing after a while. Even if I can respect the skill, sometimes it's just not fun to chase after someone all match. I think if they practice it more, it won't be as aggravating to deal with.
And then there's someone like Ein who doesn't have a lot of options other than to space. There's not a lot you can do against someone like say Christie. Spacing is a good option against her speed.
Anytime you fight Kasumi, your best option is always to space. You don't want her ass in your face 24/7. However, strangely I've never heard anyone complain about turtling ever offline. Is it mostly just an online thing since trying to move properly is a massive pain in the ass?
