It's because Kasumi's online frame advantage is dumb. Offline Kasumi is very beatable. Be patient and hi--crush when possible.

Lol, I can never throw punish anyone online. Shit doesn't work. For Christie, mash 2P or counter MId P to stop any 6PPPP spam (High P for PPPPP spam).

Try blocking, kasumi is very unsafe.

Surprisingly I can throw punish Kasumi online and it's pretty easy to do against the mashers. They 66KK 4PKK 9KK 7K like crazy, and Ayanes PPPK like crazy. The one that makes me bitter is Momiji. 66PP is basically her only unsafe move and I can't throw her after half the damn time.

Bass vs Christie always feels like 9.9-0.1 online.

Bass vs. i9 jab is pretty much 9-1 online.

Block and sidestep Kasumi. 98% of Kasumi's are gonna either throw something unsafe, or they're gonna cancel into their only safe strings. You can punish both. Especially with Kokoro's fast jabs and kicks. Don't forgot Kokoro's stances as well.

Oh and turtle. Kasumi doesn't have range outside of her Hoshinpo, which is not safe if she attacks after.

yeah I can't throw punish kasumi at all either. even if it's the slowest move she has it's beyond ridiculous like I really hate her too. and trying to throw punish christie lol that's probably one of the hardest things to do. especially if someone using her knows what they're doing

Christie's really an "unsafe on paper" character, alot of her shit is supposely -10 or worse on block but she can free-cancel for days, can shift into JAK or set up GB's. Throw punishing her is a massive pain in the ass. Don't even bother online.

Kasumi's less safe than Christie, but she can still be a bitch to throw punish sometimes. She has brutal mix-up ability and can free cancel pretty freely. For Kasumi, try to bait out her lows so that you can low block them then punish. The key is to keep Kasumi from abusing her strong lows & throws.
