Dojo is even banned in tournaments. I could somewhat understand lost world since it usually ruins most strings that I do and knocks them off by a tip. But overall Dojo is not a good map and there's a reason why that's out.
dojo requires nothing but your knowledge of fighting. counters grabs etc. so it baffles me how anyone could think it's a bad map. I can see why people who rely on getting you against the wall or other bs wouldn't like it.
Playing with walls is part of the game and mind set though. Wrestling DOA arena is a fine example. That one is allowed in tournaments. Your denying the aspect of the game's mechanics for wall splats etc. TN only threw Dojo for lols and online dojo.
Dojo takes out what makes doa good. The wall positioning and maneuvering. Also knowing which launchers work or kill the juggle is another important factor. You hate lost world? Imagine if doa had ring outs......
If someone picks dojo I send them a message letting them know not to do it again or I wont play them. Or ill just troll. No point in playing on a banned stage. Tournament rules or nothing lol
I see the aspect of what you're saying about using certain juggles or etc for walls and power launchers an etc. but still I don't feel as if dojo is a bad map. people rely too much on things like wall damage and etc. and if you really get mad at people picking dojo.... lol wtf
I'm not saying all maps are bad I really was specifically speaking of wrestle mania. the wall damage is beyond ridiculous. and it's a small ass map. and lost world. I actually do like house. but it was geared towards those two.
It's not that. Dojo isn't suppose to exist as part of the random routine. You can't involve skill in there because it's not meant to be there in the beginning. There are many reasons why that stage is banned. There is no such thing as relying too much on things. If it's working for them...then it's "Working".
I'm not trying to be rude but yes there is such a thing as relying on too many things. it's like cheating on tests. if a teacher puts you in a room by yourself you're screwed. as to relying on wall damage and you end up getting a big map. and you get fucked up.
You do realize that it's up to "You" to adapt to these things. You must also play by their rules and also go for such things. The thing is..you are not taking advantage of the rules and taking the easy way out by focusing on a training stage that was never intended. If you like open areas, then the airplane field stage or desert storm is the one for you.
I'm not saying I don't do these things. such as wall damage. and purposely knocking people off the stage. I'm just stating they add way more damage then they should.
