It was awful today, everytime someone else faced the dude, he slaughtered them with bullshit, I could see the frustration in some of their eyes. I had to jump in periodically. It made things worse when I usually disposed of him in like, 2 minutes, or less.

You just have to be honest with him and keep it real, this kind of things will scare people away from the game. :O

I did keep things real with him. I told him what was bullshit and what was legit. When he's tries bullshit against me, I just say 'NOPE', then punish accordingly.

That's because a lot of Marie Rose players think they're badass when they're just taking advantage of a new character with shenanigans.

Glad to hear you ere humbling yourself to rookie players FON. Sometimes it's okay to get on a rookies level so that they get a better sense of playing. Learning from losing does help but that usually works best when one already has a good grasp of the fundamentals and a main to go from.

I actually am quite fortunate that all the new players in my scene came from other games such as Tekken, so they have wonderful fundamentals, movement and footsies. I am more than happy to help out people that take a genuine interest in DOA and ask for my assistance in levelling up their game.

The "fraudulent" player didn't get a win on me today, but it was frustrating as hell to fight him. I honestly felt like a scrub at times >.<

The best way to deal with BS imo is to use it right back. If someone is frustrating me with BS, you bet your ass I'll try to piss them off in the same way.

Perhaps dealing with their BS by playing really well is more rewarding for other people and it really should be but I like giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Lol, that's exactly what I did. To beat a scrub, I had to fight like a "scrub" >.<. Lol, you should join our scene Chapstick =P.

In a way, it's kind of like the player is "lowering" their standards in order to defeat another player who isn't completely knowledgeable about the game (as weird as that sounds). This is how the cookie crumbles... But. You are the Force of Nature! Keepin' everybody straight!

Just beat his ass lol. Sooner or later he will find out that his BS isnt working and then he will move on.
