I buy costume packs if I like most of the costumes in them. I didn't buy the last two costume packs, and I'm definitely not buying that hill billy looking shit. I normally buy the packs to support TN so they can help with tournies, patches...etc.,but that doesn't mean I'm going to buy shit like that.
Yes, you know? The ones they used to balance the game, and add characters and such to the game. Those patches. That shit ain't free. Also more the less, the money they give for events like TFC is my main reason. DOA doesn't need much of a balance patch now, although my only wish would be for them to balance Gen fu which they most likely won't do.
Do I know the patches that TN used to balance the game? No.
I remember them making some really stupid and arbitrary tweaks surrounding everyone's 2K. I remember them nerfing the fuck out of everyone who didn't deserve it while leaving those floating in the clouds with all their BS.
The only people with selective memory here are the ones who have convinced themselves that the various gameplay tweaks TN has made since vanilla have contributed towards balance, rather than the otehr way around.
Fence hopper? My initial point is I support for patches, and offline support. What is there not to get? There were patches that gave necessary balance changes, and you just singled out a patch that was possibly unnecessary. You pretty much voice your opinion about the balance of the game, which led to my last statement. Keep it simple, because no one is fence hopping.
Months ago you were all moody and depressed and were rather vocal about your objections to the game's balancing. Now, you're not. That would be hopping a figurative fence.
Very simple.
Because it took me a while to accept doa5u is not doa5 vanilla and took the time to restudy the game and adapt instead of whine all day like I did before. It wasn't fence hopping, it's called wising up. Something this community generally need to do, before they decide they know what's balance.
Or perhaps you decided to adapt to your surroundings and accept what those around you were propagating. Susceptibility to peer pressure is not always the same as wising up.
