We run IP address checks. It'll flag accounts that have logged in with the same/similar IP addresses.

Basically. It also logs if you log in with mobile devices and the such. If multiple computers are going through the same router, they share the same external IP.

In general, it's a good idea to remember that nothing you do on the internet (or even on an offline computer) is ever anonymous. Everything digital leaves trail that can be traced back to you, if the right people are properly motivated.
