I came to a valid solution to this, however it is up to the people if they really really want to do this.

A good possible way is making a JPN account and download core fighters+Phase 4 there. You should still be able to connect with the US players. - DB.

It will work because many games has been on the process of doing that. DW, Gundam Musou games. Technically speaking, they are getting the same update, Just that one is getting it earlier than the others. The only downside is that games are regional. So you can't download Phase 4 JPN on the american disc because of the region lock. So to bypass this, you have to download the JPN version to get the JPN DLC.

Since core fighters is free (Which I hope it's the same for JPN, confirm it first to see if it's free on that side then see if you can follow it that way.) PS3 can play all regional games but cannot accept regional DLC on a different region game version.

Sorry WHAT!?! I'll be honest, I don't really care much about Phase 4 myself, but I know that there are those who do and this is just unfair as FUCK to them. It's one thing to make 'em wait an eternity while the master-race JP arcade players get everything early, it's another thing to slap Western players in the face with your dick when it comes to the consoles, too.

To make a point on the DLC, if you can't find core fighters..then it's really not worth the risk if core fighters ain't there. Just wait it out for a US release..

I think it's smarter to just wait it out anyway. It's too much of a hassle to purchase a JPN psn card, it also means whenever you want to play Phase-4 you'd have to go to core fighters... and if you end up wanting to play someone else ( who isn't free. ) you need to go back to your US copy. They can't really make us wait much longer though can they? =S

Foreign dlc doesn't work on other systems. Foreign GAMES work but not dlc.

Yes they do. It was first confirmed by the Gundam Musou games. You are allowed to get DLC as long as the game is JPN. Getting it for a NAL disc has a region lock so it will not work.
