I used to play him back in vanilla but now his sitdown stuns are removed, and he seems more like a LAUNCH AS FAST AS YOU CAN BITCH!!!!!!! GET THAT FREE DAMAGE type of character (Like Akira, as to compensate for something like lack of speed/safety/tracking (cough Akira,Hayabusa,Kokohoe)

Hayate's got a 12 frame mid, tons of tracking and is actually quite safe due to his insane amounts of delays and mix-ups.

Bnb with Hayate is usually PP6PK early in the threshold. 66KKK off of your better launchers like 8K or wind dash P. Most important thing is to cover all fronts as hayate and learn how to fight at all ranges.
