No. I've considered it, but I actually really enjoy watching the show "blind," ie: not having any spoilers as to where it goes next. So I've been avoiding the books and book spoilers and the like.

Well you're certainly going to enjoy the upcoming season, then 
when i say total badass, I mean it. Arya (along with Jaime, Tyrion, and Brienne) are my favorites of the series, though we don't see much of Brienne in the next one.

We don't see much of Brienne period, it seems.
But yeah. Arya, Tyrion and Ned have been my favorite trinity since the first few episodes, though characters like Davos and Brienne are also amazing.

Davos is probably the closest person personality-wise to Ned, so I can see why you like him. I like him, too, especially due to the fact that he's the one that convinced Stannis to bolster The Wall (which it would have fallen otherwise).
Tyrion's story takes a somewhat more dull turn for a while, sadly. You'd think being an escapee would be cool, but not really xD

"Escape and lie low" is the best strategy for him, and "lie low" isn't typically all that exciting by definition, haha.
But yeah. Davos just has a lot of balls. Like, Melisandre will say "Burn the heretics, Stannis." and Stannis is like "okay..." and then Davos walks up right in front of them and is like "THAT IS STUPID BULLSHIT! I'm Davos and I'm awesome.
