I can remember when our dog passed. he was senile couldn't even walk to eat his food we had to carry him around knowing he was going to die any day. you don't want a "warning". I know it hurts, but this was a better way for it and for you,trust me.

I'm so sorry. When I was younger my dog was sold on the black market. But I'm a cat person now anyways. I know it can really hurt to lose a beloved pet.

Thanks everyone. Russian, that actually kind of helped. I've had pets before that got to that state before dying and while this was really sudden and shocking it's comforting knowing she enjoyed life to the end.

I'm glad you understood I was worried you thought I was doing the whole "you have no right to complain" crap. I hope you can find a new cat for your family even though it probably won't act the same. Unlike dogs cats have very carried personalities we've had so many cats over the years and I don't think we've ever had the same type twice.
