I'm starting off practicing commands with no directional inputs in them. Once I get the flow down, I'll go onto the ones with inputs starting at the beginning of a combo, then the ones in the center, and so on. What are your thoughts?

Don't stop training, all day everyday the grind never ends!

Just keep doing stuff over and over again. Eventually you will get the timing down for combo's that seemed impossible at first.

Just remember that online you can always drop combos, so that's not the place to see if you've improved.

Fight really good players over and over and over and over. Lose a shitload of times. You will gradually see that you'll start losing less and less pitifully over time. Then you'll go back and fight someone who was close to your level before and you will whoop their silly fuckin ass all over the place.

I just wanted to know if the Idea of practicing combos w/o direction inputs 1st, then going to ones with em afterwards was a good idea or not. Lol

Tbh, idek what I should train in, what should I make the training AI do, or what should I focus on really. More or less its like I'm training blindly.

That's why I told you to fight actual people. If you do that, and you're observant, you'll start noticing areas and situations that you know you're not approaching correctly (like what juggle to do where, what mixups do and don't work, what spacing tools are/arent efficient etc.)
THEN you go into training and recreate similar situations, and try to figure out what you can do differently.
