Strictly speak, yes Brute lol. But frankly speaking, I don't havy anything to turn the tide of battle with him. No high crush to use in the middle of my opponent's pressure to reverse pressure, unsafety all around, no legit tracking, no good stuns outside of 3P to lock them down, no frame advantage.
No guaranteed setups to make them panic hold, there's 33T but my opponent has an i12 throw too. I have to wait and rely on my opponent's mistakes which is harder online, but in either setting, the better the opponent the less likely and often that actually is bound to happen.
You think a lot during matches against great/top players. And as an Ein player you're doing a lot of 'Nope... can't do that, or that, or that, or that." In matches unfortunately.
In order for Ein to win you need to out play or just be flat out better than your opponent and in most cases, I'm on even ground with the people I fight or a bit of a skill defecit. He can win if you play perfectly but no one is playing perfect 100% of the time and Ein isn't a character that gives you any sort of slack.

Honestly, that should be how the game is among the whole roster. Ein's only problem is that he's not as silly as some of the other characters he is forced to compete against, and so
Anything silly of Ein's (Aside from TORIYAH!!) is something the player himself has conditioned you to think is potent. There's pretty much an out to anything you do can be stopped. The only remotely silly thing he has is 33T which is still a huge risk to Ein because if he gets hi counter blown it's done.
I'm not a pessimist lol. I've been using him since 5U's release and I'm pretty sure I have some tech that no other Ein player knows about. But it's all gimmicky to an extent and the player has to be active in making you fall for it rather than it just being effective.
Ein's an honest character, and that's an endearing quality to be sure. But in a game where just about (Well... Eliot... P4) everyone else has a plethora of tools at their disposal and an X-Factor of some sort. Ein requires an unreasonable amount of skill in order to win against most of the roster.
I really do wish I was ignorant and just talking out of my backside and needed to level up. But I'm not, and it's that much annoying saying the same thing over and over again to people that assume Ein's just this great character overall. Why doesn't anyone pick him then? Why doesn't anyone WIN with him then?
