There are so many mistakes in that thing. Aside from blatant typos, the system by which each rating was assigned is entirely arbitrary. You remember when I broke down ever single MU for Ryu and discussed each one at length for anyone who had concerns about certain MUs, right? Well, the Jimmy clueless comes in and says "No, it's not what you said, it's ____" I ask "Why?"

and they say "Because you can beat all my options by pressing X" That situation is only one in 50 possible situations and guess what? IT DOESN'T EVEN WORK! I broke down the frames with math! With SCIENCE! I SHOWED HIM in the training room! So what do they put on the MU chart? What he said the MU should be.

They just randomly assign a number they saw posted in the thread for each MU.
So yeah, you could say that Ryu being 6-4 favored against Sarah is a mistake. But Ryu being 4-6 against Sarah is also a mistake, but one that everyone's got their heads up their asses too far to be able to identify in the first place.
So yeah, it's messed up but I don't waste my time with that useless sheet anymore.

Well, actually I was simply talking about the inconcistence between the two outcomes, however I remember you discussion about Ryu's MU that you said that in your opinion Ryu Sarah was 3-7 in favor of the VF girl (but for my incompetence I can't enter in the details of the reasons about it, sorry).

By the way I haven't too much knowledge about the building of a tier list, usually how this works? I assume that for the games that got many players partiecipating to the tournaments (as Tekken or SSB series) this is built from the outcomes of the actual official matches in the competitions. But in other cases as DoA, is always through a discussion between the expert players of the community?

Generally in communities like SF all the top players create their own complete tier list, and the community looks for a general consensus on general ratings between characters. DoA is a bit different for several reasons. First, the community is smaller. Second, MUs are so complicated because each character has so many tools, and they are all so situational.

In SF you can get a top player who knows every character in the game. in DOA, you never get that. So it requires a more cooperative effort n order to generate authority.

So with DoA the idea was make a Tier List based on MUs, and get experts on each character to come in and discuss their character's MUs with the respective experts of each character they are fighting.

Sadly, it didn't work out that way.

Thanks for the infos! But even so, this general consensus between players that apparently miss for Doa5 and remakes, from what you know was able to be reached with the tier lists of the previous games released on Xbox?

It was, yeah. I have several theories on why that is, but nothing I can say for sure. The competitive community was much smaller back then, so it's possible that less people just means less differing opinions. Characters also had a lot less diverse tools, so there wasn't as much to consider. For example, in 4 you could hold out of sit-down stuns,
ALL DOA6 DOA5 DOA4 DOA3 DOA2U DOAD
