You don't see LeiFang much in tourneys for the same reason you don't see Ayane much. Because you can't kust buttons with them and win. They require skill to utilize.

Wow I definitely feel like I shouldn't have dropped Leifang so easily now. Next time I play I'll give her another go ^^!

Ayane, Christie, Genfu, and Leifang are the top 4 in 5U. What makes that difficult to see (or believe) is that Ayane and Leifang requires very good defense and a lot of skill to play at a high/top level. However, both have everything needed to compete and win, it just has to be done well. A lot of people say I make it look easy, when it's not. I feel for good Lei players too because they go through what I go through.

Ahem, I will say this. I think her force tech game is weak and she does not "track like crazy".

Also Emann, Ayane is actually one of those characters that give Leifang issues, and keeps all of her better tools neutral in the match up, rather than overwhelming. However, Leifang causes a lot of issues for Genfu and Christie.

And Ayane's 5KK can stuff Leifang's 1P+K with ease on reaction, fully charged or not.

I meant like others, because I don't see many LeiFangs in Top 8's at Majors. Though I don't know how you beating me over a year ago while I'm still a scrub at the game was relevant to the question I asked.

Anyways, I'll just leave it at that before this gets stupid lol.

That's because the only Lei that ever really gets Top 8 at majors is me (5 now and long list of locals but who's counting....I am) minus a couple folks that have one under their belt.

I was being serious about the Ayane match up. Leifang does have issues against that character. She has no real answers to characters that effectively keep her defensive tools neutral. If she cannot overwhelm with her tools, she has trouble establishing momentum.

Every Lei player I've played has trouble playing me in the Ayane match up offine, be it a vet or another solid player.
