Comes down to personal preference mayne. This game also doesn't seem to require very much dexterity, which is why it's rare seeing people use arcade sticks. As x person is most likely coming from another fighting game and already comfortable with the stick.

But that's not to say there aren't people in other fg communities that use pads and still play very well and at high levels.

Just know that going from a pad to a stick will take getting used to. And you'll most likely be worst at the game for a while when getting used to it.

Ive always used a stick for DoA. I think it just comes down to what you prefer, like Styl said.

I'm use to using a stick for 2D fighters like street fighter and guilty gear because its easier but I never used it for 3D fighters...i think i'll use it for a little bit to see how it feels first

Stick is pretty much required for SF4 but DOA5 is generally better on pad, though quite a few in my scene play well on stick.

you i guess it would depend on which character you use.. like i would assume akiras 1 frame knee would be easier on a stick
