For the attacks right, do you do the duck for the throw? Its really annoying that he can basically put you in a guessing game the whole game with just one technique. They literally just turtle then spam the teleports.
The teleport throw is extremely slow and can actually be dodged on reaction. All of his other teleports are beat by walking backward, sidestepping, or simply standing in place and blocking. If Ryu players are turtling and simply spamming teleports, they're literally just giving you free wins. moveset.
That's the stupidest tactic you can use with Ryu. Helena can use the standard tactics to avoid 'em like anyone else, and he BKO stance is excellent for dodging Ryu's highs and mids, which comprise most of his moveset. Note you can also bait them with the BKO duck, which will result in them trying to use the kick. Then, quickly exit the stance when he teles, then counter it.
Honestly, as far as the teleports go, sidestep P/ducking the throw always set me up just fine. I haven't tried to respond to them by blocking on reaction, but I think that would actually probably work just fine. I have to test if you would just be looking to throw or respond with 3PPP.
It shouldn't. As I understand it, the BKO duck will dodge anything a normal crouch does. The ong throw should only grand full stands. Regular ducking (despite being open to mids) will dodge it fine.
