Okay guys, I got a reply from Gehaktbal. The method is very simple:

Someone who owns the demo and is playing the demo sends a game invite to another person who likes to have the demo as well. The person on the receiving end then accepts the game invite and gets a link to download the demo.

Simple as that

Another note I would like to add is that Gehaktbal told me that you have the possibility to buy additional characters, since it is 'Core Fighters'. So for those impatient to play with Raidou and/or Honoka, this is your chance to try them out early on.
