a true mid can't be crushed, but can be side stepped. He didn't side step.

A low sweep can't be crushed by anything other than a low crush, yet he was laying on the ground in laydown stance and my sweep completely whiffed him. Perhaps it was a glitch.

dude im kidding lol

I dunno. Considering Every single fucking low attack in the game seems to catch all of Ryu's low crushes, I've pretty much established that crush attacks in DOA5 are the most unreliable bullshit in existence.

Basically I mean. 3H+K with Hayate works fine like it did in 4. Eliot's 6H+K doesn't really. It can be caught easily in the startup frames. Crushes should work how they're suppose to. If brad is gunna be able to crush all he can though he should be a bit worse because he does have some extremely good shit, some of that shit is too good.

"Crushes should work how they're suppose to." I agree, but the tech around crushes is in general bullshit. It's not a specific problem with Brad Wong or Hayate. It's just something TN needs to fix with the whole game.

that's exactly what i'm saying. Though... I do like the idea of being able to low sweep lisa out of the air when she goes for her jumping OH. It's so damn annoying to deal with.

I think the better fix would be to remove the OH property of that move. It's fucking ridiculous, if you ask me. Should be a regular throw.
Gruff757
Gruff757
dude that move is way too slow to be a regular throw
TakedaZX
TakedaZX
Idk I'd like for it to be not an OH.
Brute
Brute
Ryu's is just as slow and his ain't an OH

I dont think Kasumi or Ayane's are either, but I dont recall their speeds
Murakame

Kasumi's slowest throw is the 17 frame Oboro. The tradeoff is that it has greater range than most throws and better damage. (65 points on NH)

That's basically the Nakiryu right there. Bout... 12 frames, 3 parts, 65 damage. Fortunately it scales...but it's still weak. I'd love to see it hop up to 70 atleast. I'm gunna look at Lisa today Gruff.

After some time in the lab comparing several characters' slower throws and their "jumping throws," I have data to share!

Lisa (8T)
Dragon Rana (OH)
37 Frames
55 Damage

Ryu (8T)
Kubikiri-Nage (Non-OH)
35 Frames
60 Damage

Kasumi (8T)
Hien-Saka-Otoshi (Non-OH)
29 Frames
55 Damage

Ayane (8T)
Ryugaku-Ko (Non-OH)
25 Frames
50 Damage

Lisa (214T 6T 8T)
Shooting Star Press (Non-OH)
11 Frames
105 Damage

Ryu (41236T 23698T 23698741T)
Izuna Otoshi (Non-OH)
12 Frames
75 Damage

Kasumi (33T)
Oboro (Non-OH)
17 Frames
65 Damage

Hayate (41236T 44T 466T)
Nakiryu (Non-OH)
12 Frames
65 Damage

So for easier inputs and less frames, Lisa gets ridiculous damage on her combo throws. Her 8T is only slightly slower than Ryu's and deals slightly less damage, but that is plenty made up for being an OH (Ayane really seems to have the best 8T, here).
Gruff757
Gruff757
her shooting star press is ridiculously easy to break out of though. can you break an izuna easily, if at all? you shouldve compared Deja Vu to Izuna instead of SSP because they are more alike than SSP and Izuna
