MK has just as casual fanbase as DOA for the most part. most will flock to it but will drop it as soon as they get bored with the fatalities. I can't see the majority of DOA players staying to a harder execution game like MKX.

^ That is true as well. I only wish I had a PS4 right now, just for the amount of players they have. However, I don't think a PS4 is worth my money as my sole reason to buy it would be DOA.
