When you are online you have to turtle your ass off in order to consistently beat people and even then it doesn't work because of examples like I illustrated above. I have to respect things that don't deserve respect because people see that they can mash with Rig all day and it will beat out solid fundamental play. Its FUCKING bullshit.

At this point its really hurting a large number of players who want to improve and giving a false ego to others who learned how to do unsafe bullshit in lag.

With the Xbox One having an even worse netcode than 360, leading me to not be able to even play my main character (Phase 4) Online anymore due to an incredibly large amount of lag and delay, I actually have abandoned Online lately. I play Online from time to time, but I mostly play Offline on Xbox One and PC versions now.

I dont do nothing but blocking because if I press a button, I'm going to get hit lol. I hate to admit but online makes DOA retarded

Well, I usually have a pretty decent punish and defense game Offline, but Online, I have the worst possible defense and I fail 95% of my punishes.. DOA's netcode makes the game completely unplayable, especially when you do not have the best of Internet connections on your side either. That makes the Online problems with DOA even worse.

I'm not complaining about it but I'm telling it like it is.

OK, you want a serious answer? You got it.

1) Accept the fact that there will never, ever be a such thing as a perfect netcode. Katsuhiro Harada hit us with that reality not too long ago in a recent interview. DEAL WITH IT.

2) Surround yourself with positive people while playing online. Don't go looking for trouble with online players that you know will give you shit for winning or losing.

3) If all else fails, suck it up and get a better ISP or a better modem. That's what I'm planning to do now that my connection has been spotty for a while.

1) I know, sad but true. We just have to live with it. Eventually, you will get into Online play with the delay and lag anyway. It's just an annoying process to get used to it.

2) This is what I'm trying to do most of the time, unless I'm in a trolling mood where I actually "want" people to rage and hate on me. However, negative people always find their way into my Lobbies somehow, even when I play normally.

3) I've been planning to get a new ISP. Problem is: There's no better ISP for where I live. I have to live with the crap I have until I move to a more central place, sadly. It's still good enough for most games, but DOA brings out the worst of it.

Another thing that helps is having a media player to listen to music with. Back in the old days when I was on my Xbox, I experimented with a lot of stuff with the console's in-game custom soundtrack feature. But the PS3 doesn't have that, so MP3 player it was.

Private lobbies are the best solution to keeping troublemakers from getting in your lobby. Just make sure all your slots are private.

I do that all the time. Having some music playing in the background that gets me pumped up always makes me win more matches for some reason, lol.

That is true.. I like having it open, though. I like meeting new people. Some of them might be assholes, but a lot of them are nice people, who are fun to play.

One of the biggest problems I find with online play is that frames don't add up like how they're supposed to. Offline, I can deal with mashing just fine because I know where the frames are at and can generally tell when someone might try to mash and can respond to it accordingly. Online throws logic out the window and makes you hesitate more than should be.

It also doesn't help that most people online play like obnoxious children.
