The finale or in general?
For the most part, I'm more okay with things that have been going on this last season than others. Most viewers seem to be upset every time the show deviates from the books, but then get equally upset when they stick with the books (Jon, for example). People are impossible, haha.

Well I'm apart of the former. I've never heard of the latter before lol. I don't see why they would be mad, it was the same outcome even though some things were different. I'm still upset about no Lady Stoneheart, which makes no sense to me but it's already been a year so I'm basically over it. I'm actually excited for next season since I don't know what'll happen.

Haven't read the books so I can't say firsthand, but I also can't say the idea of Lady Stoneheart sounds appealing to me at all.
Shireen was kind of a punch in the gut, but after I came to accept that it was a metaphor for the corruption of religion and sex I've come to terms with it.

Yeah I was also very heartbroken over Shireen. Sweet cinnamon roll too pure for this world :( I read that they killed her off because she was teaching people how to read the ASOIAF books instead of watching the show, haha

She was awesome. And now she's dead.
Meanwhile, Daenerys and Sansa are still trotting about...

I think after this it'll be a new chapter for Dany and Sansa. Either Dany will talk her way out of the Dothraki situation or Drogon will save her, then hopefully she finally flies to Westeros. It'd be nice if Sansa could meet Brienne and they can live happily ever after.

I've been waiting for a "new chapter" from both of those two for the last 5 years. Terribly written, terribly acted characters with boring plotlines.
I obviously can't speak for their book incarnations, but I am so done with them in this show.

Varys for King.

Eh. Dany is pretty much the same in the books except less cheesy. Much less cheesy lines that make me cringe. Her book 2 story was actually pretty bomb but they f'd it up in season 2. Her chapters have their highlights but can be pretty droll when you're screaming at her to fly and burn King's Landing down.

Lol in the books Sansa is still at the Vale. That whole Ramsey/Winterfell plot happens with a different character. Sansa is actually pretty badass in her Winds of Winter preview chapter since she *actually* starts playing the game and manipulating people in a Little Finger way.

Yeah, I did hear it was a different character with Ramsay in the books. Not sure how I feel about that. Probably not a good idea since she's pretty pathetic right now, but is apparently cool doing whatever else she's supposed to be doing in the Vale. On the other hand, it would make Theon's story in Winterfell that much more tedious to sit through.
