Holy snap, you are on a roll. I have almost everything maxed out S with the exception of mission #16. All on Son of Sparda mode, this is all done via Vergil and Lady/Trish. Haven't attempted Nero/Dante yet.
Nice work. Yeah, just make sure to run all through the castle and break everything.
I've been using a mixture, though primarily Dante/Nero (Dante is my favorite, so... yeah).
Got all the way to Dante (final stage) in Bloody Palace with Lady, though. Then I died.
2 hours of work wasted. *sigh*
Bloody Palace is tempting. Might try to do it with Vergil, Dante or Trish.
Surprisingly, I have been doing well with Vergil. I should make a sick combo video for it. I would like to try it via Dante must Die mode but just hate getting hit from out of nowhere ahaha.
Not sure what it is, but visually..I have a easier time avoiding almost everything in DMC1 and 3..but DMC4 is just weird to where the AI could just sit there and perform a strike without expecting it because I was too focused making a combo stack for SS+.
Generally I find that's the case when graphics are improved in general. Odd, I know, but something about excessive lighting, alpha channels, effects, etc. just seems to make collision detection more difficult to manage in newer games. I've played DMC4 so much now I have a feel for most stuff, but some stuff still mystifies me.
