I don't think the Japanese rate characters based on who uses them but more so on their tools and perceived effectiveness. They also possibly look at some vids of Western play too to put things in perspective.

There are a lot of Ayane players, and a lot of them are only average because they cannot figure out how to move forward without 66KK4 or something extremely risky. And auto-pilot for critical burst damage make you predictable.

Lol, Eh, I still use em. Well just 4P really. Though 4H+K & 236K are pretty nice when they do hit, but yeah, doing them from neutral is kinda digging Ayane's grave.
