Just a character specific critique thread where players can post their replays and other players can critique the gameplay.

That sounds like a good idea.

Ex would Be like: Critique my (insert character name here) gameplay etc

There's usually a video thread for that in each characters' sub-section. But you can always make one which is specifically for feedback/critiques. Depending on the character, I might be able to give you some tips and feedback.

You are your own best critic. Why would you want to risk being ridiculed by others?

Well I noticed that you posted in the video thread of Momiji. Hmmm I would suggest hitting up @iHajinShinobi , @KING JAIMY for advice....I also play Momiji myself so maybe I can give you insight as well

There is a Momiji Video Thread but that one isn't specifically about critique and that thread is kinda dead. You could make a thread, if you want to.

@Awesmic well I know on this site there are people who I can trust who wouldn't ridicule others, but more than likely help others improve their gameplay

@Awesmic I don't think there is any problem with asking people for advice since they can give insight on what potential problem you might not see. As well as suggest possible solutions to said problem. Just as long as you don't feel offended or attacked, I see no problem

Receiving constructive feedback is something entirely different than being ridiculed, @Awesmic.

@Awesmic but there are some people out there don't know how to give/take criticism unfortunately...But I know that those two I mentioned are pretty cool laid back ppl that won't offend others :P

I'm aware of that. But a thread? Wouldn't a safer approach be sending a group PM to said party you trust? By making this a thread, you risk a potential troll hijacking it and thereby killing the atmosphere in the process.

I mean having a specific character critique thread can and might help improve the community better for those who are willing to learn and get better at the game

I believe 99% of this community is pretty caring and willing to help others. If you take it to PM, then others can't learn from how proper feedback is given or taken. But it's entirely up to you, of course.
