At least you have offline access to play with others and level up your game. In my case, I have none and I've been thinking of letting this game go because of it lol
If I still lived in NYC, I would do everything in my power to make DOA grow over there. Here in NC is pretty tough and over there I have the luxury of public transportation.
Thanks Hajin, haha. It's not really the community that's the problem, because if I like the game, I'll play it no matter what the community is like, it's more so I've had my fun, and now I need to move on to other things. The game does, indeed get boring, that's the truth, and that's coming from me, who loves the series.
Yeah, Blackmoon, the access to an offline scene is awesome, and if I weren't so DoA'd-out, I'd be doing the same. I've been contemplating taking a long break for a while now, and I hope it's what I need to get back into the game later on, but I'm just not feeling it anymore. Only time will tell if I'm ever down to get back into competitive DoA, though.
Personally, I've never actually gotten bored of playing DOA5. But I'm also on a break to play/learn Smash 4 because I feel diving into another game with a larger pool of stong players will make me improve immensely when I come back to DOA.
This makes me wonder how other communities make people stay and not get bored of their game. This community is where I see people express again and again how the game is no longer fun, they're going to stop playing, retire early, etc. Anywho, keep in touch man.
That's the thing, I don't even want to get better at this point. And it's not the game's fault. I have people to play with offline, goals that I'd like to accomplish, I'm just tired of playing it. Maybe I'll come back for DoA6. Lol.
Thanks, Darkslay! And no doubt, Jyakotu, I'll still be around FSD when I get my internet back to help people out where I can. I just won't play any more. Gonna try some new fighters.
Dude, I get that. I just don't want you to completely leave. DOA5 is still young, 3 years for the series and only 5 months for LR. It's just disheartening when I see people I like leaving the game. You can still mash and have a good time. Lol
It sounds like a break is in order like others have said. I recommend the same. IMHO DOA5LR only gets boring if you plateau at it or stop having any "fun" people to play. Physically the game has enough depth to keep me busy for a long time. Also you can't quit because I haven't played your Eliot before . See you in a bit dude!
Lol, DoA online. No, that's not the reason I'm throwin' in the towel. Last time I played was a few weeks ago, offline with Blackmoon and DBomb. I just can't take anymore DoA for now.
