That's exactly what they did, @Pictured Mind . It was not the "all in good fun" and "friendly" way. In that case, I'm OK with it. They also played very "scrubby" throughout the rounds, with no footsies or good combos. It was just a bunch of low hold stun escapes, keep-away and mash through everything I did. I'll not call out anyone, but I'll say it's someone on this site. I was extremely disappointed.
I don't really mind being overkilled, myself. I do it if the other person does, and don't if they don't. In Japan, it's considered incredibly rude to corpse beat, from what I've heard. A lot of players over here in the US also dislike people who do it, but in a tournament setting, a lot of players do it to troll, so, for that reason, I've learned to live with it and not let it get to me.
Offline I don't give a shit if anyone taunts me or overkills me, but it annoys me to no end online for some reason. For the people who taunt and overkill online, I'd love to play them offline and see how effective their taunting really is.
I completely agree with what @Force_of_Nature . Offline (not that I play a lot Offline), and while playing casuals with good friends that I know do not mind it. :p But when randoms I do not know Online does it to me, it's just very annoying to me..
I never corpse beat online with friends because I don't want them to take it the wrong way. If you do tea bag me or overkill me, I just assume it's OK for me to and I will...oh I will, but it's all in good fun. Me and my sister do it all the time for laughs.
I'm more offended to be beaten by spamming moves or spamming a set of combo over and over again, rather than getting teabagged.
Teabag isn't really working in this game. But damn sure I like teabagging AI and my friend with Mila's air-rolling slam and Christie's ground slide. lol
Yea, I've been playing offline for months. No more throwdowns for me. Thankfully, Akira is a fucking jackass there, makes me train how to block and find opportunity correctly.
@Kasumilover98 I do it only to friends when we are messing around, and just casually play. :p I teabag and corpse beat, and they do the same to me, and it's all in good fun. :p
@SoftCabbage Same, tbh.. Usually, I can get away from button mashers/spammers, though. Unless it's laggy..
@Force_of_Nature Online, a good defense game can be hard to play, though. Sudden lag spikes can fuck your entire game up.
I also need better MU knowledge with a lot of characters, though.. >_> I keep working on it, lol. :p
I've always thought to myself; If you get offended by people beating your body, maybe you're too sensitive to be playing a fighting game in the first place.
