If Nintendo and Koei Tecmo do collaborate for Smash (and they do have very good relations) it has to be either Hayabusa or Kasumi, their most iconic characters. Hayabus fits better probably. But a new female would also be interesting... There are not many female characters more iconic than Kasumi. At the top of my head only Lara Croft comes to my mind, oh, and Chun Li...but Ryu already got that spot.

Ayane is imho not iconic enough. In Smash there are only the crème de la crème of video game heroes. Senra Kagura for example only got Ayane, because they wouldn't dare to give their uber precious Kasumi away for that game.
