I'm not trying to blame anyone, I just think the reception was bad in part to hardcore players not getting DOA6 instead. Can't we have a more diverse franchise? DOA universe is the universe I want to invest most of my time into.
Why would a game like DOAX3 get support from a competitive doa fighting game fan base? I mean I want the game (and plan on getting it), but expecting that is pretty ridiculous don't you think? xD
Karaoke can also be fun to certain people, but I wouldn't be disappointed if FSD (being a competitive fighting game community), wasn't flocking to support some karaoke game if some Japanese guys decided not to release their karaoke game in the West.
I feel uncomfortable with watching Honoka and Marie Rose do anything else but beat the shit out of each other but I wouldn't call it offensive. I wish the resources used to make this game was used to make the PC version on par with PS4 with new stages.
Um as one of the "more then ok with" DoAX3 crowd...there is nothing to be surprised about. This site is mainly for DoA fighting game competitively. The front page doesn't even cover the DoA 5 costume packs so why would FSD start covering DoAX games?
Very well; try this one:
"DOAX can also be fun to certain people, but I wouldn't be disappointed if FSD (being a competitive fighting game community), wasn't flocking to support some softcore porn game if some Japanese guys decided not to release their wankbank game in the West. They don't care and they're not obligated to."
You were. This community has nothing to do with DOAX.
I get it. You're posturing disappointment that other people aren't campaigning for a game they don't want to play because you feel they are obligated to like it since you do.
But the act is wearing a bit thin, and given that even in its own universe it's a futile campaign which yields no utility, I would like to request that you stop instigating needless contention across the site.
It's actually counter-productive to your alleged cause, making DOAX fans appear to the Competitive FG players as irrationally dismissive and aggressive.
If what you say is true, then you must understand my position, in which case I should thank you for your understanding and be optimistic about the likelihood of compliance.
The aspect that is despised is the sexuality. There seems to be an identity crisis in the DOA community.
I feel as though you all should move on to Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown instead. It's pure gameplay and is very tournament heavy. No sexuality, either.
Why stop at DOAX3? I say people complain about DOA6 so that it is also for the Asian regions. That will certainly fix this dissociation scenario and you fine fellas get to move on to something you can deem more "competitive."

I read a few comments from you, Brute. Then I remembered our Rachel conversation and the zero points you made then. I'll save my time for something else.
