I assume dust is probably the culprit, but they don't make it easy to bust the things open to clean 'em out.

of course its the glorious console race. shame, this constant whirring and beeping ruins the immersion quite a bit.

its not the fan mind you its the disk drive which i never use it will whir for a second, stop, beep a bunch of times, stop, whir more. i have no clue what the hell its trying to do.

Beeping? That is odd. You said that you're not using the disk drive, but do you have a game/Blu-Ray disc just lying around? If so, pop that in, then just go back to whatever disc-less activity you were doing before and see if the problem still occurs.

That might shut it up. Maybe I'll finally have a use for that Last of Us disk

i honestly tried, but between the spoilers, too much hype, annoying stealth sections, and my charcoal black heart i just couldn't get into it .

I actually had a very similar experience. Just add "I'm tired of protecting an annoying little girl simply because I'm the gruff guy" to the list.

you never really were protecting her though. enemies would just ignore her and go straight for her.

She had a funny habit of running out into the open during stealth segments, bumping into all the enemies, and then running back to the cover spot I was hiding behind, obscuring the far end so that I couldn't peak around and see what was around the corner.

I think I was supposed to be "charmed" by her annoying habit of stealing jokes from a jokebook. I was not.
