its actually making a strong resurgence. SMT,FE, Bravley Default are all having new games this year on 3DS. then on the main systems FF7:RE, FF14,Persona, KH3, some type of Valkryia chronicles and hell even Star Ocean is coming back. Tales of never left of course their next one is Destoria

FF7:RE will not be a "classic" JRPG. It's going to be a lot more modernized. FF14 is an MMORPG. FF15 will be sick, though it's far from a "classic" JRPG. It'll be very modernized. Persona 5 will be good but niche like the Tales series. In terms of prominence, JRPG's will be nowhere near how big they were in the PS1 era.
