It's completely valid. GBoD's startup frames are one frame slower than the advantage given by 6P+K, so unless your opponent likes to mash a lot coming out of guard breaks, it's good.
It's still valid, the only issue is that the payoff can be potentially greater from the guaranteeds after 6P+K instead of GBoD right after. 6P+K will probably condition them to block since they are expecting the follow-up though I'd likely go for the guaranteeds after it since they blocked the first time.
Some good setups to condition them to block longer is a move where they'll stagger right after and expecting to block your next move because of advantage being less than intended so you can GBoD since they are staggering out and blocking.
