Leader of the Mugen Tenshin ninja clan, Kasumi and Ayane's brother, and a good friend of Ryu. He appears as Ein in DOA2 due to amnesia, but by the end of the tournament, he regains it. Hitomi sort of has a crush on him, and she often tries to search for him.

Got to like that he is a character with good defensive options, but if the opponent doesn't know the character too well, you can mix up the opponent with the charged up wind attack thing and with the teleport off of that move pretty well, as well as being able to get away with a few things. Only dislike is that personality wise he isn't as awesome as Ein.

I know his story fairly well, he's technically been a character since DOA1 since there's mention of him in Kasumi's story. Interesting that they went with Ein in DOA2. I also like that scene where he gets bodied by Raidou, lol.

I like his playstyle, I know he's one of the strongest characters in the game, people underplay his abilities. But there's just something, and I don't know what it is, that makes this character so goddamn boring, his design is ok, and he has more personality than Ein, but I just like Ein more, lol.

Hayate just often feels like he's just there, I don't necessarily dislike him, but I probably care about him less than any other character in the series, and seeing how he's technically a main character, that's pretty bad.

I know that Hayate succeeded his father Shiden as the leader of the Mugen Tenshin clan, and was one of the few people to treat his half-sister Ayane with respect (props for that =)!). I also know that Hayate got slapped the fuck out by Raidou when he attacked the Mugen Tenshin village. I like Hayate's umm... 66P? I dislike how 'meh' Hayate is overall, and don't care for his personality.

1) The weakest ninja featured in the NGxDOaverse ever, even some jobber that died on the first scene of ninja gaiden black is stronger than him. 2) I like his design a lot. I don't like how bland and worthless he has been in the story besides the doa 2 plot.

1) What's important to know is that he got his ass kicked by Raidou.
2) I like that Raidou kicked his ass. I dislike how boring he is as a character, probably the most boring character in the series. I wish Hayate would be deleted in DOA6 instead of Ein.

Honest answer now: 1), the Lider of the mugen tenshin ninja clan, still so far the ninja with less feats or proven strength in the series. 2) I like his design, his moveset, and his character has some cool momments. I don't like the rajin input, and i don't like how under utilized he is on the plot.

His Rajin is useless imo, it doesn't even do the highest amount of damage among his throws or the game, it's more of an empty "Oh look I can do this complex input" type thing.

@KasumiLover69 Yep, but in my opinion it is one of the coolest looking throws in the game, extra style points (maybe disrespect as well?) if somebody pulls it off more 2-3 times in a game.

@KasumiLover69 Raijin used to be his strongest throw but it was replaced in DOA5 by the much easier Nakiryu. it was brought back in DOA5U as more of a novelty.

he's certainly an interesting character though i don't think TN has managed to convey to the audience just how much he hates his position coming off as more stoic than reluctance. his interaction with Hitomi is probably the last time we've seen him happy since gaining his memory back.

1) Leader of the Mugen Tenshin Clan and the shinobi of the wind. 2) I kind of like his fighting style and his wind and teleport moves. With a lot of practice, his Raijin can be pulled off consistently though it is difficult but on certain stages a combo from a throw or Nakiryu is more damaging. I don't really think he's the worst ninja in canon. I like him so far, but Ein is cooler.

What I know about him has been said by others already.

Likes: 1) His DOA3 theme. 2)The wind effect on some of his moves is kinda cool. 3) Nakiryu. 4) His play style 5) His costumes, particularly his SW one.

Dislikes: 1) He's kinda boring personality wise. Let's be real here. Ein is the cooler character. Hayabusa is the cooler ninja. 2) He was a douche to both his sisters and Hitomi 3) 1-bar Hayate is not fun to play against.
