sounds like me when i got blazeblue and there was a dvd which served as the tutorial, and it was a long ass tutorial as well! and im there like, mf you couldn't incorporate this in the actual game? i gotta sit here and watch this feature length training video before i can actually play? come on man.....

lol im actually talking about the story and characters. thankfully Blazblues stuff is easily available and its spinoffs don't have a lot to do with the main story.

well, if we're talking story, then FFXV is probably the most recent offender, I played alot of FFXV without knowing that there was a feature length movie and an anime mini series which preceded it. so naturally i went through FFXV saying "wait, who's this guy?" and "what's this guys relationship with that guy?" and so on and so forth

yeah but you only really need to watch one movie i don't even think the anime is even necessary. the game as a whole though i hear is confusing and a lot it has more to do with the troubled production not putting the info somewhere else.
