No, although I tend to stop mid string. I abuse lows if you let me tho, but surprisingly I'm afraid to use kasumi's PP2K, I feel like it's just not worth it XD
I've been thoroughly trained offline to never use 6K2K as Honoka. Too easy to react to and get punished for free. 6K is just false pressure are this point :/
One of the big moves that suffer from this is CB moves within early threshold or max threshold before burst. Basically just the general usage in a stun situation. (Ex: Like doing a simple move on Lvl 1 and then using the CB move for unstaggerable stun extension instead of a burst.)
Whenever I tried using these moves it gets held too often, not sure if it's because it looks too noticeable even before impact.
CBs are just really slow so I never use them, plus the mid punch hold is the #1 most used hold height for hold spammers to hold from, the exception are characters like Lisa and Zack who have mid kick holds since that'll mind fuck mid punch holders.
Nope, I use everything I want to use regardless, if people react I obviously won't keep using using that stuff.
Practical example : if Honoka's 9PPK gets blocked/held (which happens 95% of the time, still... you never really know) I'll use 9PPP next time and it's pretty much guaranteed to hit lol. If I decide to use it a third time then the opponent has to guess if I'm going low or mid (or cancel).
if you're not tricky with the timings, i feel like lows that are a part of string fall into the category of too reactable. although with that kasumi running sweep, i recently fought aleme ga kill who hit me with 5 of those in 1 round because i completely forgot that was even a move in this game lol
@Nikotsumi that low in honoka's string 9pp string will definitely catch people who are unaware, but against anyone who knows what they're doing that mix up between 9ppp and 9ppk is useless, since neither of those options track and you can just SS both the mid punch and the low kick
i use 9p more for throw setups since in on NH and CH i can still get a throw off and on block most ppl are expecting the 2nd hit of the string and are waiting for the mix up part
