It is really annoying, i'm trying to find good artists to follow and use as reference, and is just hard to find (safebooru isn't really good either), and one of my favorite artists is going on the nsfw route as well (though he said he will keep it separate from his sfw stuff), i'm just annoyed.
@Brute , Robaato, dude is really good, really inspiring works sometimes, i'm glad he is working on what he wants, but it is difficult for me to follow.
I can relate, but with renders. I turn on the NSFW filter of DeviantArt, and everything is blocked in the DOA club notifications.
The worst part is, depending on the artist's opinion, slight cleavage, violence or just a swimsuit could be seen as 'NSFW' to them, but not to me, and they'd filter it.
I turned off my NSFW filter on DA after finding out it was actually blocking some awesome renders (one was Hayabusa holding a near-death Kasumi clone like in the story, she was slightly bleeding on the stomach so it was NSFW?? what?? i guess nsfw can be violence too?)
It's really hard to find SFW art of DOA, you need to look at art from like 2009 to find a lot of it.
DOA art is really rare in general, but just looking for art in general, i find a really cool artstyle, and when i start following it, i get all those: "nsfw rewards on patreon", or "look my nsfw page as well".
I advise you to keep searching for the more SFW artworks. However, I wonder if there are some other artists worth looking into on twitter who will not compromise to the NSFW issue and just draw traditional artwork.
Have you looked up Shinkiro artwork for example? He used to draw for SNK but he has been mostly doing Capcom stuff now.
