Growing up playing NES/Genesis/SNES/N64/PS1 games means playing Dark Souls is just return to form.
Doesn't help that I INSIST on playing a pure archer like I did for DS1 and DS2 despite bows being HORRIFICALLY nerfed in DS3, making the game much harder than it needs to be
@Camel with 2 thumbs First Time I played DS1
.. Everybody told me I should go into the game knowing as little about it as possible... It was Frustrating. So for DS3 I did the exact opposite.... it was far less Frustrating but oddly enough no more enjoyable.
DS1 and DS2 turned out to be pretty easy for me, because I just went archer and that cheeses everything except 4 kings and ancient dragon. Then bows got nerfed haaaaaard in ds3...
I'm bringing it up more because people always go "Dark souls is so hard" when no it's just that most modern games are just so piss easy that a game with average difficulty coming out is seen as "hardcore". No offense intended.
like I love how people are so shocked when I say I never put any points into health, don't use heavy armor or a shield. DOOOOODDGE. And late game, most things stun and hit hard enough it doesn't really matter how much health you have anyway.
