Dudes talk about how they require less and they go far but Hwo wins tourneys. Heihachi wins tourneys. I never saw a Asuka win tourneys in T7. Nor Lili. Nor Jin. Nor Alisa. Nor heck even Kazumi. Even the regular tier list is questionable. No Bryan in S tier or Dragunov but both are highly considered top 4 in the game.

Both tier lists overall are weird af. Someone will have to legit educate me on how Hwo not A tier in a tournament setting when you have Speedkicks going to grand finals and winning and BATs in Top 16?

Asuka wins tournaments lol

Fergus won a UK tournament this year and got to Grand Finals with her at the finals of one the most recent UK tours before the game came out.

Before the game came out. Not after. Plus considering how dude's talking about how far they go, the last Asuka I saw go pretty far was at EVO and that was it. Not disrespecting Asuka. She has potential and she's not bad. And shoutout to Fergus cause he's easily the best Asuka. But compared to Hwoarang, Heihachi, heck even Feng Wei I don't see the lore of Asuka being higher than Hwo & Hei and same level to Feng Wei?

When we see them at peak levels and I feel Hwoarang not even finished yet with his potential with Feng Wei as well with Noroma playing so good. Bryan's also low when Knee even uses Bryan and goes far. So many questions??

It's a realistic tier list that takes real life tournament scenarios into question. That's why it's specifically called a 'tournament" tier list.

Characters like Bryan and Hwoarang are indeed insanely strong in T7. But more what do they have in common? They're both extremely hard to play at high level. In a real life scenario, execution heavy characters are naturally not going to be as viable as characters that have similar strengths with all the extra complexity taken out. That's why Jack is so strong.

Keep in mind also, Knee specifically states that that tier list applies to the PS4 version only. Why? Because that's the current tournament standard, again, real life situations. Until that doesn't change for the PC version and the inherent console input lag on console is a factor, it makes sense for the tier list to accommodate and favor easier characters.

Knee values real strengths that can help in the clutch and high pressure situations. Bullshit crushing moves, rule breaking gimmicks and simple yet big amounts of damage. That's what's truly strong in Tekken.

I honestly think this is the most accurate tier list to date, minus Claudio's placing for obvious reasons I literally just stated. It's realistic, and it gives insight into what the meta is and will evolve into in the future.

Yes, it was before the game came out but it was using the console version and Asuka has barely changed if at all since then.

He may have even won tournaments or got to GFs in the current tour I haven't seen any of it.

@Darkslay I understand what your trying to say, but I just can't agree with Hwo or Bryan being low like that. Now when he talks execution and stuff yeah they're hard to play and I can see that but where is that argument debunked: He puts STEVE in the high tier. Steve's one of the hardest characters in the game to execute.

To me he's the hardest. And people thought of dropping this dude. I didn't hear "I'm dropping Hwoarang cause he's so hard but not rewarding". Until Taisei Steve was almost gone from a tourney setting. That's #1. Number 2 The others that are questionably low who generally are viewed as easy, Claudio, Josie, Law, PAUL. Like Paul a single move that's not even that hard to execute and it's more damaging than combos.

But then Eliza's up there? She's not easy either. I can't see that one. #3 I can agree with the PS4 version list. I'll have to look into it more when I actually have a viable gaming PC but I can see where PS4 got delay and stuff.
