The colloquial "furry" descriptor has been quite well-established in its reference to anthropomorphic characters, especially those of feline/canine characteristics that are highly sexualized. That's not niche knowledge nor counter-intuitive vernacular even if you grew up watching Lion King or some bullshit.

^To you maybe. You implied im a furry when I talked about DW9, and i've been wondering about it since. Like is it just because my profile pic is a fox girl OC? I don't see it as any more "furry" than animaniacs or Darkwing Duck. I've never shown any specific interest in anthros over non anthros, that I can recall.
