    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

Good to know TN is staying true and strong to their beliefs. If they suddenly changed cause of a vocal few, then I can say the majority of the players who enjoyed DOA since the beginning and know what it's all about would see TN as a bunch of spineless cowards. And at a business standpoint, I...

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

Well, KoF had a huge female fanbase in the 90's and early 00's and they still weren't targeted. I guess some companies don't really see these of communities since they aren't typically so vocal.

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

I must be the only DOA fan that is trying to be optimistic about what TN is trying to bring us in DOA5:LR instead of worthless outfits you don't even need. I didn't even know about them adding better jiggle mechanics, but I'm sure most people will spend their time playing friends and sharpening...

Community Why a Player Should Look Back At Their Matches

Sorry to hear that man, but I know what you're saying. I've played tons of immature people, especially elitist types, who look down on the way you play. Scrubs online and in arcades that talk shit is one thing, but assholes who are really good and look down on you and give shitty criticism can...

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

Might be just me, but the characters has more than enough personality. Probably because I've followed them since the first games and know what they are all about. People say the same thing about some of the Tekken characters, but once you get to know and understand them, you can see why people...

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

+100 Sorry for double-post, but I agree with everything he's said. Worth a read many times over. I actually want to delete my last reply.

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

:bradwong: Had a blast reading this. But come on, now.. women themselves are becoming the BIGGEST perpetrators of sexualization and objectification in media these days. I can't even scroll down my Facebook wall for a day without some girl I may or may not know showing off their cleavage or...

Community Why a Player Should Look Back At Their Matches

More Fighting Games 101, good stuff. I'm honestly surprised people who plan to play a game more seriously doesn't do this. Experience and leveling up your game (especially with others) makes a tremendous difference. Back in the days when I was playing people on ST on SNES and arcades, there was...

Lucky Chloe - New Tekken 7 CHARACTER!

@Force_of_Nature Gameplay, yes. Characters and stories, not really. I would say it less serious than DOA. (Bears, Kangaroos and Raptors anyone? lol)

From the picture, I actually like Rachel's bikini.

Tomonobu Itagaki On Dead or Alive 5: “My Daughter Was Totally Ruined”

DOA kinda reminds me of SF2 to SF3.. everyone loved the hell out of SF2 and then 3 came out.. sooo many people hated that game until later people realized how deep the game is and it started blowing up. A similar situation, it's interesting.

Tomonobu Itagaki On Dead or Alive 5: “My Daughter Was Totally Ruined”

Despite alot of things, I really like him as a developer. He probably might do something as far as paying homage or something. Can't imagine anything directly for sure.. One thing for sure, he is very close and personal with his fans, and that's extremely rare.

+1. To me, and alot of people; what Hazard just said, it's all it really comes down to in general. (douchebag part was a little much though, lol.)

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

I agree with you, but on the same coin, it seems like they used a good chunk of that money to develop DOA5:LR. Hopefully this will be a much better iteration, and they will listen to the fans more closely as far as what kind of things we want to see.

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

I don't know man.. I've never experienced anyone having problems with any of these "sexualization" issues myself, so I never once thought it was a big deal to people. I don't see characters as humans or human-like at all, which is probably why I can't really feel any empathy towards the issue, I...

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

Yeah... VF tried that and look where it is now? It's not the sexualization, it's in every game. It's the complexity. Pretty sure alot of people complained about the counter and stun system in this game, which means more guessing. I know it was a huge pain for me in DOA2 on Dreamcast, those...

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

I think it will be okay. There has been saucy stuff on deck in EVO and it hasn't been a big deal. Plus these people are going to Las Vegas, I'm surprised EVO doesn't have show girls already at the event by now.

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

I don't think so, they don't have to buy those micro bikinis and still be happy with the game. Tom Lee said it best.. "We are creating video game characters in a fantasy setting. Their actions, aesthetics and overall visual presentation is more than obviously set in a light-hearted...

    DOA5 and Sexualization: Too Much?

I admit, I buy the DLCs, but that's mostly me trying to support TN. Same reason why I buy music from iTunes; to support upcoming artists. But yeah, I'm right there with you, I really like the original costumes alot better. But alot of Leifang's and the doctor coats were my favorite as far as...
