Helena has always been a flawed character in my opinion. In DOA4 she was basically top tier because of two moves. Take that away and all she has are her "tricks". She's slow, unsafe, relies heavily on mid punches, barely does any damage (and I don't see how her juggles are longer or better than...

So does anyone know what's up with the faint stun she was supposed to have? I guess it is or was 64p and while she is at an advantage, I can't find anything guaranteed at all. Same with her her Unshu stance. Her advantage seems to vary from +2 to +16 and I don't get how you're supposed to know...

God, I hate that she doesn't have a CB move from Bokuho. Whenever I'm at the point to use the burst, I'm in Bokuho. I guess I haven't found the right flow yet.

7pkk works really well as a set-up for her Critical Burst. Three hits, but the 7p can be used as a low crush especially against wake-up kicks and many people (at least so far) expect the third low kick instead of her mid punch cb.

I've played around with Kokoro for a while today and found a nice set-up for her Critical Burst. Her new qcf-throw leads into her new stance moves. If you use the p+k ender, you can burst right after. Two hits (three if you count the throw). The computer can shake out of it pretty easily after...

You could use a star system like they use in statistics to express the probablity of error. * for almost guaranteed, ** for "scientifically" guaranteed.

I saw you play on twitch yesterday. You gave me hope, that Helena wasn't that bad after all. But as you said, it's hard to tell right now, if people just aren't used to her yet and this will change once they know her moves better. It seems like more than ever mid punch holds are her worst enemy.

And thus my hopes of Helena being fixed vanished...

I can't really tell if the Ayane player just doesn't know how to tech roll or if he can't get up after Helena slams Ayane to the ground. Of course I'd prefer the latter. We don't really know much about how force techs work in 5 other than the invincibility frames being longer, do we? Maybe...

I think Helena actually has some the best costumes of the female cast. They are all quite different (except for the swap of course) and none of them look like that shiny blue mess from DOA4. I especially like the return of the white dress from DOA2U. Looks great with Gen Fu's default.

Some people won't be happy about the similar outfits taking up seperate slots.
