here's my theory on Genra having Ayane's hair turn purple. He had a thing for purple haired chicks and his wife had purple hair (somehow) and wanted to project his love for purple hair into his more or less daughter. also Genra=Gendou Ayane=Ayanami If you get me you get a cookie.
