I'd like to remind you that this is a fighting game with ninjas, clones, demons and cyborgs. A flat-chested goth-loli and a schoolgirl with a Sharingan and huge tits are not the weirdest things in the game. But that's just me.

Firstly, no. The new games use more traditional 3rd-person shooter movement, while 1-4 use tank controls. No so much the same. Second, I don't hate the monsters of old. Far from it. It's just that trying to fight them in the old games is annoying. Especially now when I try to replay them.
