I personally (still) think you need a mix of stages, big and small. That way the variety is mixed and forces you to use different strategies. But to me the game play matters more than how the stage aesthetic, especially when they already look great and people are just being nit picky IMO.

If they do a hidden character for the first time in a long time, then they would likely tease the character. Although for 5, they did just show off Gen Fu and the Virtua Fighters and they were all “hidden” characters as well. They had to be unlocked first.

Hypothetically, they could cut Gen Fu and Raidou for fan favorites Momiji and Rachel, but I see them using those two as DLC for just how much money they would make off of them. It’s also possible they would use Alpha instead of Raidou again, but let’s hope not...

What would be more money is giving Phase-4 and Nyotengu dlc to match the set later... especially when Phase-4 and Nyotengu are far more popular than all of the male characters...

I’m going to politely disagree. Phase-4 is just a Kasumi clone that they likely weren’t intending to make a playable character in 6, but saw an easy way to get people into the deluxe version. The costume pack was probably planned out in advance. I bet it’s just got the main characters in game...

Still no mention of a physical deluxe edition for those of us not in the Asian market. Guess it’s too much work to create a different case stating deluxe version and adding little sheets of paper with the bonus content inside the case.
