Why do you think 1K is useless on it's own? Startup is a bit slow, but when you use it raw, it's harder to react to and grant's you a nice 50/50 situation. This will only work on opponents that do not to know that the 6P follow-up is high. Otherwise, your cancel get's easily blown by any 2P or...

Not really since a low sweep or high crush would stop you anyway. Even if you free cancel, you'll have recovery. The string needs to go high > mid to be threatening, and with PP6P, she already has such kind of string.
