I suppose that could make sense. Especially in Reach where in Invasion you unlock weapons tiers, thus unlocking other weapons you can spawn with. I don't know. It just seems so strange for Halo to do that to me. Guess we'll since how it all goes once it hits in November.

I didn't mind ranking up for new armor, I liked that. But man did those prices suck. I'm also fine with all the abilties in Reach except for Armor Lock. I mainly just use Sprint. But this about unlocking weapons is just dumb. Maybe it is time for change, but it just won't feel the same to me...
