    DOA5U Top 10 Moves

I didn't see one and everyone's own selection of good moves seems to be spread across multiple threads. Here's mine (not in any order): 1P (:1::P:) Really solid high crush. Also works against a few mids. It doesn't actually crush until a few frames in, so you can't use it to avoid some strings...

DOA5U Trying to learn Sarah, but feeling like DOA isn't the game for this.

How can you call doing optimal combos mashing? Unless you're talking about P4U/Stylish type stuff, that's so ignorant. Hit confirming random hits into optimal combo routes takes a lot of effort. How can you tell someone that they shouldn't judge DOA before understanding it when you're doing the...

System My biggest problem with the game.

This is by far my biggest complaint about DOA. Let's see if everyone agree. It's the stupid R1F mechanics. Allowing movement before the start of a round just makes it into a dumb rps situation from the start. It can work in some 2D games because the faster movement makes it harder to stay on...

I feel like there must be some hidden tech I don't know about, 'cause no one sidesteps Leifang. She literally has no answers unless someone sidesteps 3P or something. Maybe it's the threat of throws, but she has below average throws and she's so negative after blocked strikes that free cancel...

    DOA5U Offline-Puño de Leyenda(Akira/Kokoro) Vs StrikerSashi(Lei Fang/Kokoro)

That first round statue kill, though. That's just hilarious.

6PM. I'd get there around 7:30, which isn't too late, I suppose. I'd be traveling pretty much as long as I'd be playing, though.

I was planning to go but apparently I have work on Easter Monday. :v I'll see if I can get someone else to take my shift, but I kinda doubt it when it's tomorrow.

DOA5U The Official Tier List with Discussion Thread

Yeah, I think it's 'cause of holds. But it's not as if the other character doesn't have holds. They both have holds. And sometimes the character who has the easier time has better holds. That there's always an option available doesn't mean the matchup is anywhere close to even. It's like saying...

DOA5U The Official Tier List with Discussion Thread

I think being conservative for matchups is dumb. If one character has an easier time, it should immediately stop being 5-5. Either allow decimals or just bump it to 6-4. Ryu-Ken in SF2 is 6-4. I don't know why the DoA crowd likes to pretend things are even when they're not. I really doubt the...

DOA5U Trying to learn Sarah, but feeling like DOA isn't the game for this.

A lot of it is seeing how much you can get away with. If they respect P 6P (they should), see if you can get away with P 4K. Or just P 41236T. 'Cause screw them, you're Sarah. They try to jab? 2H+K or 3P+K. They mash mids? Go back to 6P. Keep them guessing. Do they always poke at the same spots...

System DoA5U:CF input buffer issue (example is Kokoro)

Is it just a timing issue? There's like a 10f buffer for DOA. It's so lax. Can you do stuff like Kokoro's 9P relaunch juggles? EDIT: Are you actually timing it so you press the button near when the move is suppose to comes out? 'Cause you can't just super pre-buffer stuff as if it were Eliot's...

DOA5U Trying to learn Sarah, but feeling like DOA isn't the game for this.

Firstly, environment damage is incentive to actually space. It's very important in mid to high level play to position yourself so that you can hit the other person into the environment. It's the same concept as corner combos in 2D fighters. Now, FLA 6K and FLA P2KK are good moves to throw out...
