    Learn to block by holding :h: .. holding :4: is very unreliable, even though it can be used for spacing purposes sometimes (you keep backing away slowly). As for characters, Hitomi can be used as a rushdown character. I'll leave it to others to suggest other rushdown characters.

    I never studied the mechanics of NG games, so I really didn't have any tactics going in... I remember the agile, Arabian like enemies (with mouths covered) were too much for me, they keep grabbing you for like 50% damage.

    Input lag isn't the same for both players, since sometimes I start a round with a faster attack of the same attack level (e.g. mid vs mid) and still get beaten out. Or maybe the other player just inputs it in advance. I don't know. Very frustrating in any case.

    Actually you can get :6::6::K::K::P:, :7::P::K:, :p+k::P::P: or :7::P::K:, :7::P::K::K::K: after the SS :K:, at least against lights/mids. One of Hitomi's saving graces that keep her in B-tier instead of garbage tier, I think.

    I haven't read this entire thread so dunno if this has been mentioned, but the sidestep setting has changed on a couple of occasions from 22/88 to 2/8P+K+H during a match, but when I go check it out in the settings it is still right (22/88).
