Yea, I just figured it out... well, if the opponent decides to do this, you can just let the whole grab animation go and do the actual grab instead. 9 out of 10 times the player doesn't know that simply BD'ing will escape it.
I can't really find much uses for this stance. I've seen some Brad players use it to bait a whiff from far then launch, but aside from that, is there anything else it can be used for?
Pretty much what Mr.Wah said. Force techs/vortex have become the metagame for DOA5 since wakeup kicks tend to force the player to back off. The only time you would really not aim for a force tech is if you want to knock the opponent into a wall, dangerzone, or off a cliff.
Bass has really bad matchups with Kasumi and Christie. It also doesn't help that Christie has many evasive moves that she can throw out after Bass picks her up from the ground.
The main problem is the fact that they are so unsafe.. I mean its one thing to give them a few unsafe moves. But why the hell would almost their entire set of strings be unsafe is beyond me....
Yea, I couldn't figure out who to main until I played Mila. I still play a lot of chars, even Bayman and Bass from time to time. Just not Gen Fu, I probably should learn him soon.
uhh... you said wakeup kicks.... i quoted directly from your post
Ehh nvm you ment wake up attacks when you were saying every fighting game has them. But actually this applies too. Most games don't have wakeup attacks.
