I thought Hayate was paralyized during his fight with Raidou, thus Kasumi sets out revenge on him. While she's away at DOA1, Hayate is captured by DOATEC and taken to be put in Project Epsilion. But I don't recall him being cloned, just him getting temperary amnesia. I mean, there's no mention...

I hope you guys can really convince Team NINJA into putting sidestepping back in. I don't see how it was too strong. You couldn't sidestep everything. When it came to attack strings you can only sidestep the first two or so attacks.

Yeah they're both aerial moves, so I can understand that change to make them not track. But there's still ALOT of tracking in this game like in DOA4. I can't sidestep punches or kicks like in DOA3.1. Like, dude, I can't sidestep a single thing againist Kasumi except for her head-lock throw...

Ok so it does seem to track. I could have SWORN I watched the AI just sidestep it from a long distances. But still he has to fully charge it and he's wide open the entire time. I wonder if Kasumi and Ayane can jump over it.

Only at close to mid range. You'll have to be at a very far distances to sidestep it. Plus his fireball requires him to fully charge it so he's completely open to attack. If blocked, it'll cause a guard crush. The attack can only be blocked while standing. If crouched or crouched and blocking...
