The outfits doesn't need to try to reinvent the wheel to appeal to you. At least for me anyway. I mean if your character got just a pair of jeans, a T-shirt, and plain shoes for example it can work well depending on the character despite having next to no creativity involved in the design...

^ You underestimate the willpower of completionist gamers. If you want to save maximum money just get core fighters and only buy characters you actually use.

I have yet to pay a penny on costume dlc. Unless Ein gets something decent or the SK outfits were handled well [the right characters got the right costumes] then this will continue. Not complaining though because that money goes to something else like maybe a game or something.

Is there a game on PS3/Xbox 360 that has as many or even more individual dlc items as DoA 5?

VF has seen better days. Seems like the series is either making card games on mobiles or pimping out their characters as guests in other games. No. Keep both series separate. I wouldn't even want a crossover. Keep VF to play like VF and DoA to play like DoA.

Supply and Demand. There is demand for these costumes clearly since they keep on being bought so naturally the supply will go up to meet that demand. As a business they are doing to correct thing to generate profit to ensure their employees are secured and grow their business.

Just curious what would you consider 'looks old enough' from your perspective. Bigger breasts? Taller? More mature outfits? etc.

They won't stop supporting males regardless how much more popular the female cast is. There is still an audience for male character fans so it shouldn't be completely ignored. Instead they would *cough* already do the minimum quota necessary to throw a bone to the males every once in awhile...
